Her curse

She looked desperately, from left to right. Where is he!? She could feel his fear, she could feel his constant cries for her to save him and yet he was no where to be found!
Then, she felt it. The bitter sweet sting of metal upon skin. She cried out as she felt his wound as if it were her own. Damn it!
She glanced at her phone as it began to ring and answered it hastily.
"Where are you?!" She yelled into the receiver.
"I...m. . .. like. . . 3 blocks away... from... you..." Her golden eyes turned towards the street. There!
She jumped into action, immediately shifting as she ran. She targeted the 4 human drug dealers as they closed in on her step father. With a viscous snarl she attacked, tearing each human apart until there was nothing left. Her fangs dripped with their blood as she finished them off.
"Its. . . about... fucking... time!" Ara whined softly as she shifted back to human.
"I'm sorry I could-"
"Yea yea. .. shut up."
She gasped as she felt him draw upon her wolf to heal himself. The wound would have been fatal to him had it not been for the bond they now shared. It wasn't until she felt light headed that she realized just how deep the wound must have been.
She fell to her hands and knees as she gasped for air.
"Ok. . . ok! I. . . s ... stop!" He merely looked at her, his face twisted with disgust.
"Say it." He spat at her.
"I.. I'm sorry!"
"Good, now hurry up and shift. I want to go home." Ara only nodded as she drew what little power she had left. She shifted, the agony becoming almost unbearable. I remember when shifting to my wolf was liberating. . . when did it become so painful?

  1. He shook his head, awakening from the spell of the vision as it still thrived vibrantly in his mind. His concentration fixated on Ara, multitudes of futures danced across his sight in the back of his mind. Each one he could see and understand the circumstances that would lead to every incident for it to occur. There were moments where multiple futures branched from the possibility of one decision. For Ara, it seemed bleak and Luka wondered what his intervention in her life would do to change that. As if on command, new visions floated into his brain, showing both great prosperity and equally great pain.
This was, and still is, the curse of a time demon. Subject constantly to the welfare of every event within a single person's life to even the fate of the world... And with time his to command, Luka knew with a heavy heart he could not stay by Ara's side. What would happen should fate require him elsewhere in the fabrics of time? Besides, the inner demon within Luka sneered... You aren't here to help people. Never have, never will be.
But Luka was in a different mindset now that the limiter on his powers was set, and at times it surprised even him the capabilities of his compassion. If he could never return to the plane of The Beginning of Time, to hold fast to keeping his inner ferocity and merciless nature in check... A futile dream. Forever, until the end of time itself, would he be bound to the curse of his very existence...

  2. Ara shuttered as he pulled out of her. She curled to her side as if it could somehow protect her.
A breathy laugh left her step father as he got up and dressed himself. These were the days that Ara wished she could run away, to be free. Oh how she yearned for her freedom. . .
"I' going out." He anounced. She sat up, she knew what 'going out meant'. She just hoped that it didn't mean more trouble for her. She opened her mouth to protest but he was already gone.
"Damn it. . ." At least this gave her a little free time.
She dressed herself, wincing as the bruises that now marred her body ached. She grabbed her cell phone, checking to make sure it was on and had enough battery to last. Satisfied, she walked out the door and headed to her favorite spot, one that calmed her, that made her feel a little less disgusted with her life. Moonlight lake. She had shown this place to Luka. . .
She closed her eyes as his name produced utter happiness within her. She had not been able to stop thinking about him, in fact, anytime she was subjected to the horrors of her father she thought of him and it made it all the more bearable. She sighed softly as she arrived at the shores of the lake. The breeze was soft and welcoming. She took in a deep breath, breathing in the scent of nature.
This is where she should be. . . free.

  3. He stood, watching as Ara gazed peacefully over the shores of the lake. Concealed by the thick tree and shrubbery, an inner battle engaged as Luka contemplated going to her side. Do not involve yourself with her, the inner demon would say. Her short existence will greatly afflict you.
Yet still he remained, a burning desire to be with Ara roiling brightly inside. He knew what was coming next. He couldn't bear the thought of her in pain, abused, or threatened. Oh fuck. Luka moaned, turning away for the slightest instance from his view of Ara and the lake. Dammit, this is the exact opposite of what I should be doing!
He turned back, seeing Ara look peacefully, beautifully, at her sanctuary. I could change it, thought Luka; but it was a wild notion. He may have the power to do so, the consequences afterwards could be severe or nonexistent depending on the situation. I could care less about the consequences, he would say, to which his voice of reason would retort, No! You should care! She means nothing! She has too!
And consumed with his thoughts about Ara's welfare, his negligence to his current situation left him unguarded as Ara spotted him in his hiding place. He only truly noticed when Ara slowly began to approach him and suddenly he was in a panic. Shit. Shit!!

  4. "Luka?" She called out as she noticed a figure in amongst the trees. There was a moment of silence before he stepped out.
"Uh. . . Hi." Luka cast a shy smile at her. She nearly laughed, was this the same demon she had met not that long ago?
"What are you doing here?" Her world just became a whole lot brighter. Her heart began to flutter as she saw Luka walk toward her. She could not help notice how his shirt hugged his muscles just right. She bit her lower lip and cast her gaze away from him to hide the blush that crept in.
"Oh, I was just. . . in the. . . neighborhood." She turned her gaze back to his and raised a curious eyebrow at him.
    "In the neighborhood?"
"Yes." He looked absolutely nervous. It was the cutest thing she had ever seen!

  5. You can't keep BSing her. He shifted his sights to the surface of the lake, appearing to take in its grand beauty. "It's very beautiful here," he said, motioning to the scenery.
"Yea," was her reply. It had not dawned on him until that moment, when he returned his eyes to hers, that she had been staring at him. She blushed and looked away toward the ground, a small grin lining her lovely face. Oh God, Luka, what have you done? Yet he could not help how much he admired that flush of color within her soft cheeks, how she bit her luscious lips nervously, and how her graciously flowing red hair concealed her shining eyes. Stop... No... Dammit...

  6. She looked back into his eyes, oh their blue depths memorized her so. She opened her mouth to comment on the lake when her phone rang. She closed her eyes, already knowing who it was. She began to feel his fear and anger as she took her time answering the phone. Maybe... just this once she would ignore him. . . it could not be that serious... Right? The ringing stopped. . . only to commence once more. It was an urgent feeling of dread that that caused her to answer the phone.
"Hold on Luka," she said she she turned away from him and hissed into the phone, "What?!" She shocked herself at her courage to be able to answer him so. Usually she feared too much to so much as raise her voice at him.
"Don't you fucking answer me that way your stupid whore. Get over here! Now!" She gasped as she felt a sharp pain on her arm. Oh. . no.

  7. The moment of truth. His breath caught with her's as she experienced the pain of the bond. Dammit, man, if you're gonna do something do it!! You're a fucking time demon for Christ's sake!!!
Ara turned back to Luka, her mouth moving in attempt to find words of farewell but they were lost. He panicked, trying to summon visions of the future; to see what would happen should he intervene... And for the first time in his entire existence, they did not comply. He froze, unsure what to do. This had never happened before. Ara fidgeted furiously with the phone, slowly on the verge of simply leaving on the spot. Dammit!
"No, Ara," he called, the words spilling from his lips. It stalled her for a moment, only to make her eager to go without a proper explanation. "... Y-You can't go." He cursed under his breath, he could do better than this. If he couldn't intervene now... he would have to step in on scene where his vision took place. But that was if he wanted to intervene... and now that his power of foresight was mysteriously absent for the moment, it was a hard decision to make.

  8. She slowly stepped away from him. Her eyes hiding the untold truth of her sudden departement.
"I... I can't Luka..." She turned from him running as fast as possible to her step father. Please please don't let it be too late!
Panic settled in as she felt his fear and anger. Her phone rang one more time, "Where are you!?" She screamed into it.
    "I...m. . .. like. . . 3 blocks away... from... you..."....

  9. His voice was lost amongst the noise of the assailants fighting. Her heart raced, believing they were attacking him only to find that he was not receiving any injuries. His fear was redirected to a single threat, one she had a feeling was not either of the human drug dealers. The identity of the newcomer was revealed shortly afterward and she gasped at the sound of his voice in the background.
"Oh, sorry about that. I was hoping that wouldn't be as much of a mess as it turned out to be. Damn, cleaning that up is going to be a bitch... Wait, who are you on the phone with?"
Ara refrained from calling out his name, instead sending mental commands ordering him to flee as she heard her stepfather's impatient huffs.
"Oops... I was hoping to do this in secrecy. So much for that, huh?"
"What are you-?!" Ara's stepfather yelled, and she felt his exasperation as Luka took possession of the phone.
"Hey, Ara!" She flinched, equally bewildered. She spun back to look at the thick forests she was sure she left Luka at. How did he...? "Umm... yeeaa... No need to worry bout ole dad over here, I've got it covered. Well... you kinda knew that, huh? Right... Okay..." Ara was just beside herself, torn between scolding him or laughing in amusement. "Anyway, like he said... Just 3 blocks... Oh, look, I can see you!" She turned her head sharply at those words, her eyes meeting the figure of Luka waving at her as he stood over her exhausted stepfather.
Smiling, he gave the phone back to the man. The same man who held Ara's loyalty; abused her, took her... Luka knew and understood it all. He saved the man he was sure he should instead slaughter. His inner demon growled, eager for his blood upon his hands. Not now, Luka soothed. Not yet. He saluted the stepfather before heading off.
"Wait!" came Ara's voice through the earpiece of the phone, her loud beckon reaching Luka's ears but still he walked onward. He would be facing the consequences of his actions soon... and he couldn't let Ara witness that.

  10. Damn it... Her confusion mixed with her sudden yearning for him. Please . . . please don't leave she wanted to scream.
"Get your fucking ass over here, bitch!" Her step father smacked her back to reality. She walked up to him, her eyes flickering to Luka as he left the scene without a second thought.
"I-" He slapped her, Ara gasped as she fell onto the floor. He stood over her, "Next time you get here sooner. Who ever the fuck that due was wasn't natural. He's not another wolf thing like you is he?"
She sat up, looking at her step father, true hatred burning in her eyes, "No, he is not a wolf." She stood only to have her dear old dad grab a fistful of her hair to bring her closer to him. She shut her eyes as she breathed in the stench of alchohol on his breath.
"if you ever, ever, speak to me the way you did earlier I promise you you will end up working on the nearest fucking corner, working that pretty little body for money. Understood?" He hissed at her, she merely nodded, tears running down her face, grateful only that Luka was gone and not able to see her weakness.

  11. He stumbled against the alleyway walls, his head pounding. The backlash of his visions consuming him, the strings of fate painfully tying to him in that one instance... an instance that would lead to many more. And he was now involved. The onslaught of immense paths, possibilities, overwhelmed him as he felt every pain, pleasure, life, and death tie into his future. It was something time demons had always avoided, to intertwine their fates with those of foreign time planes, and he knew now why.
He collapsed onto the floor as his strength left him and he shivered, his temperature decreasing. He would've laughed had he the energy to do so, for he quickly realized this was what his people called the fabled "Flux." And it would be days before the transition, the illness, would pass...

  12. Ara shifted, wincing softly as her step father jumped onto her back. With a huff she moved them through the dark alley's guiding them home. She was absolutely torn. Her heart wrenched as she watched Luka walk away. Will i ever see you again? Her mind had asked, already knowing she wouldn't. Oh, but she still had the memory of those beautiful eyes. That muscular body, his perfect face. She closed her eyes as she felt her heart begin to yearn for the demon.
"Hurry up." Her step fathers voice drew her back to her life. She whined softly as he pulled at her fur, urging her to move faster as if she were a horse. It wasn't until she heard a sharp intake of breath that she saw the reason why her father was in such a hurry. Luka sat there, his blue eyes masking utter pain.
Luka! Her mind yelled as she made her way to him. "The fuck you will bitch, we go home. Now!" She ignored him, fighting the bond that urged her to obey. Throwing her father off of her she shifted back and knelt beside Luka.
"What's wrong?" She searched him for wounds, her worry grew as she saw there were none. Why was he like this?
    "Ara. . . I. . ."
"Bitch we leave now!" She gasped as she was pulled away from Luka. She struggled against her fathers grip. For once, she fought back, she had something to fight for and she would be damned before her "father" took that away from her.
"Fuck you!" In one swift movement she knocked her father unto the ground. She ignored the pain the bond shot at her, the commands that told her to submit. She fought them and swiftly she knocked her father out. She stood, momentarily disoriented as she felt his consciousness slip.
"A...Ara? . . . Well. . Damn, make sure o remind me. . . not. . to piss you off." She turned her gaze to Luka's. At his words she immediately blushed, turning a her shy gaze away from his, nervously biting her lip. Oops. . . I got carried away.
She knelt beside Luka once more, searching his eyes for the cause of his pain.
"Luka?" But he said nothing, he merely stared at her with those impassive eyes.

  13. Damn, she had the worst timing. His head lulled to the side, the strain of the illness growing. He blinked, slowly noticing the cloud of visions begin to quiet allowing him to see what was in front of him. What did this mean? He attempted to move but he gasped in pain; obviously, this phenomenon was not because he miraculously had gotten better. Ara placed a tender hand upon his shoulder, easing him back down.
"Luka, please... Can you... can you tell me what's wrong?" Her shimmering eyes searched deep within his own, as if their beauty and persistence would win from him the answer she sought.
"Ara..." he breathed, each pant sending shivers down his spine as the cold air of the alleyway engulfed him. "It... It'll pass... d-don't worry..." At least... he hoped it would.

  14. "Bull shit." Her comment seemed to shock Luka, and frankly enough, it shocked her too. Where was all this cockiness coming from?
She shook her head, attempting to clear her mind.
"I am not just going to leave you here Luka." She stood, taking a deep breath she shifted once more, shuttering as it brought her pain.
"Ara. .. i am... fine." But she ignored him as she placed him carefully on top with her jaws. She turned to her father and did the same. She had no idea how she would pull this off, she didn't want Luka to see her horrible home. The pig stye was repulsive. But she also couldnt just leave him there in the alley way. With a huff she bounded off heading for "home". She could. . . drop him off at his house perhaps? Yes, that is what she will do. . . only she wished she had asked him before she shifted. I will ask him just before we get home. . yea. . . So, with a plan in mind she moved in the shadows, running as fast as she could.

  15. The trip was short and smooth, her movements didn't even agitate the pain he felt. Once in a while he lost his breath and Ara would move faster accordingly as she heard him. She came to slow halt as they approached a small one story house that was in terrible need of a makeover. The paint peeled on every wall, the wood was rotting, and there was dirt everywhere. Ara entered through the front door as she shifted, supporting Luka more so than her stepfather. She carefully laid Luka on the couch in the cramped living room and went down a hallway to throw her father onto his bed. She returned and knelt beside him as his breaths grew small and quiet. She placed a hand on his forehead and gasped. She had been expecting a fever... and instead his skin was as cold as death!
His breath caught and Ara's hand laid on his chest as he coughed. Her shock and amazement grew as she found that his shirt was soaked... not with sweat... but... condensation? However it was happening, she couldn't leave him freezing to death... and, perhaps with a little too much eagerness behind her motives, she removed his shirt. She was momentarily mesmerized at the sight of his bare chest and only when he shivered from the cold did she finally snap out of her trance to scrounge for a blanket.

    ReplyDelete
  16. She ended up using 3 blankets to help keep Luka warm. And still it was not enough! Moved around her ugly home, trying desperately to find any form of heat. She kept sending worried glances at him. What do I do!? A thought formed in her head . . . Wolf temperature was above normal. Her father constantly criticized her for that fact. But. . . would she be able to stand lying next to a shirtless Luka? She shook her head. . . no. . . there must be another way. . . right? Yet, even as she tried other tactics her mind flew back to that one idea. . . Oh Ara, just . . no. But she moved towards him. He eyed her wearily as she approached his side. She avoided eye contact as she scooted him further to make room for her. A low hiss escaped her as she felt his ice cold touch against her heated skin.
"What. . are. . you. . doing?" But she didn't answer, she merely cursed herself for her allowing herself to go through with the idea.

  17. She laid against him, and she shivered violently as she drew closer against his body. He gasped and recoiled from her, her involuntary motions upon his body making him equally involuntarily respond to her. And yet as he left her warmth, the unbearable cold hit him hard and he choked as he shivered.
"Ara..." he warned, but she placed a warm hand on his shoulder and it was difficult to not comply. She nestled next to him, the fire resounding from her body warming him yet his other side was still cold. Realizing this, Ara shifted nervously as she positioned herself on top of him and engulfing him in the heat. Luka's heart pounded and if he had the strength at his disposal, he would've pushed her off at once.
Take her, sneered the inner demon wickedly. Stick your dick in her. Stick it to her good.
Luka shook his head, aghast. Dammit... no! He was already involved enough... he couldn't take Ara, too! He avoided her eyes as he felt her breath against his chest. Remain calm... Just remain... calm.

    ReplyDelete
  18. oh this is completely normal, she could sense how uncomfortable this was for Luka.
"Just hold still Luka, you're not going to die by accepting my help." But even as she said this her courage was leaving her. She shouldn't have brought him here . . . but she couldn't leave him there either! she kept her head down, her eyes not meeting his, merely staring at a spot on the couch as her head reseted on his chest. She could feel his chest heave violently, she had assumed it was because of whatever had overcome him. . . but then she felt his arms move to her waist. Ara drew back immediately. Unwillingly she sat onto top of him, straddling him and she didn't realize the effect until she looked into his eyes. something within their depths had changed.
She blushed furiously as she moved to get off of him but he stopped her. A wicked smiled played across his face. Panic settled into Ara even as her wolf purred in response. Oh. . . you have done it now Ara. . .

  19. He was done fighting. A low growl escaped his lips in anticipation and he flipped Ara onto her back as he hovered over her. He rubbed against her body and she shivered at the touch of his erection. Her gasps of surprise were masked as she struggled to both break free and embrace him. Her fingers tangled in his hair, but her body still recoiled from his.
"L-Luka-," she cautioned, but her warning was cut short as he claimed her lips in his. Her sweet taste consumed his senses and he opened her mouth as his tongue stroked hers. He was going to take her. Right here, right now.
And, much to the distaste of his nature, his mind broke through the trance of the promise of sex. He couldn't take her. He would just be another asshole who took advantage of her kindness. He pushed himself away, breathing heavily as he stared guiltily into Ara's eyes. Dammit. Dammit... Dammit! Why did I have to get involved? Why did I have to fall for...?
He rubbed his eyes, attempting to clear his head. You're in Flux, Luka. You can't let this happen again. Ever.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Ara scrambled to get out from underneath Luka. A mixture of fear and lust coiled within her as she fell onto the ground and crawled away from him. Her breathing had quickened as she tried to push back her natural fear against sex.
    "Damn it. . A..Ara I'm-"
"Its. . its ok!" She rushed in before he finished. "Its my fault, I shouldn't have. . . Its. . . Its ok." She couldn't look at Luka, not without her heart being torn between running to him once more or running to her sanctuary and just losing herself in its water.
"Um. . you. . you should be resting Luka. . I'll. . .I'll just go make some food." She rushed out of the living room to the small kitchen. She tried to compose herself, taking deep breaths as she moved around the kitchen trying to pull something edible together. Her hands shook slightly. . . calm. .. calm yourself Ara! She breathed in through her nose, and out through her mouth. That's better, now. . . just . . cook and everything will be ok.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I have to leave. It was the only thought coursing through his mind. Just go. He leapt up off the couch and grabbed his shirt. Putting it on, he hesitated as he stared at the doorway leading to the kitchen. Should he leave without saying goodbye? He sighed through his nose in frustration. She should've just left me in the alleyway...
He was reminded of his involvement with Ara and the events of time connected to her... and how stupid he was to step in like he did. He only lengthened the torture Ara was subject to from her stepfather. Curse the strain of his heart that yearned for the wolf girl! Curse his fate! Just damn it all!
He strode over to the front door, unable to battle with his emotions any longer. It'll be better off this way. His hand grasped the handle and he heard a faint, "Luka?"
He didn't turn but he froze in place at her voice. He almost groaned at the fact he allowed himself to be caught; truly, it would've been better off for him if he had left without a proper farewell. The atmosphere of anxiety and uncertainty tainted the room and Luka couldn't help but at least address her.
"I'm not going to stay here any longer and risk hurting you." He paused before adding, "I have to go."
It was silent for the longest time. He heard Ara swallow as she asked with faint hope, "Will I ever see you again?"
It would inevitable. He was linked to time now... and to an event specifically linked to Ara. His fate was tied to hers and it would become worse should he continue interfering with time. Whether it be tomorrow or several years from now... He would see her again.
Luka drew in a deep breath. "No. I'm sorry." And he was gone.

    ReplyDelete
  22. She closed her eyes as she heard the front door close with a soft thud. Good bye Luka. . . Tears streamed down her face and as if to make matters worse, she felt her father awaken. Great. . .
Fear pounded threw her as she heard him come around the corner. His anger grew as he remembered her earlier actions.
"Oh, you little bitch! I will teach you to ever, do that again!"
"P..please I-" He struck her hard, she fell onto the floor gasping as she became disoriented.
"Wait!" She screamed as he came on top of her. He pinned her hands over her head with one hand, with his other he struck her again.
"No, not this time. You need to learn who the fuck is in charge here. And I will make sure you never forget it."

    ReplyDelete
  23. Go back.
    Fuck off.
    She needs you.
He engaged in this inner struggle for what seemed like a human lifetime. He leaned against the outside of the front door, his mind consumed with uncertainty, the after effects of the Flux, and Ara's cries of help in the background. Why he hadn't taken his leave immediately he was not sure; he had messed with her life, gave her false hope, and nearly slept with her not too long ago.
But you messed with her life to save her. Sure, trying to get in her pants was a bad call, but... There was still a chance. He could still give her that sense of hope... even if it meant just staying by her side.
He shook his head. I shouldn't care! Damn the world and all it's fucking inhabitants! I can't do this!
And as Ara screamed the most horrifying yelp he had ever heard escape from her lips, it was decided. Fuck it. I'm doing whatever the fuck I want. And he turned to face the door and with all his might kicked it down as it thudded to the floor.

  24. She screamed as her father thrust himself into her. His rough hands hurting the fresh bruises that now marred her body. Blood slowly trickled down the side of her mouth from the cut on her lip.
"Please... please stop... stop!" She gasped and as if in answer the door burst down. Her frightened gaze met Luka's. Relief mixed with shame. I thought you left. . .
"What the fuck-" Her step father was flung across the room slamming right onto the wall. She cried out as she felt his pain as her own, even as he began to draw on her wolf to heal.
"Shit." Luka walked over to her. SHe could see that whatever had effected him before was still doing so. And even besides that he still came back!
Joy filled Ara as he knelt beside her, you came back... you came back! She wanted to yell but she remained calm on the outside.
Suddenly, she recalled his departure. Sorrow and hopelessness consumed Ara. He's not staying, don't cling to him. . . he won't stay, he merely came back to save you once. And as she realized this she curled into herself, quiet sobs racked her body as a feeling of loneliness took hold of her. Luka's soft touch on her shoulder caused her heart to flutter. Oh Ara, you are so stupid. . . you fell in love.

  25. "You!" roared the father, drawing his knife from the table.
"Luka!" shrieked Ara as her stepfather charged toward him, but Luka had already turned to block his feeble attack. He grabbed his knife arm by the wrist, squeezing it in his grasp until the knife fell from his fingers. The stepfather gasped at Luka's frozen touch and Luka as well struggled past the inferno of the man's heat as he tried holding him in place. Luka refrained from throwing him again, knowing his pain would affect Ara and that he'd take her ability to heal like the selfish asshole he was.
"What the fuck are you waiting for, you stupid slut?!" screamed the father, his hand slowly losing color. "Attack him!"
Luka glanced down at Ara as she shuttered against the loyalty bond ordering her to obey. Tears streamed along her face as the strain of doing so was overwhelming. The father huffed and the world be damned that Luka's attention on Ara allowed the stepfather ample time to reach down with his other hand to the knife. Oh like fuck you will. Luka stepped on the knife and pinned the man's hand underneath his shoe as well. He cried out in pain, his voice harmonizing with Ara's. Oops.
"You fucking bitch!!! I said KILL HIM!!"
The pull was stronger than before and it was all Ara could do to stop at just holding Luka's neck in place with a clawed hand as her other hovered, ready to strike. Luka gasped as her warmth incinerated his skin, the heat in and of itself nearly suffocating him. Fuck... should've seen this coming.

  26. Ara struggled against the bond's hold on her. Her claws squeezed Luka's neck tighter, he gasped in response as she drew blood. No... no!!
"KILL THE FUCKER!" It took all of Ara's strength to miss his body, instead striking the wall behind him.
Her eyes flickered to his,her pain reflecting in her golden eyes.
"You fucking bitch, useless slut!" Her stepfathers curses filled her mind, stop. . stop! She wanted to yell as he commanded her over and over to attack Luka. Her hand poised once more and without hesitation she struck Luka's shoulder. He hissed as her claws cut through skin and flesh.
"Finally! Now actually aim you fucking retard!"
"Silence stupid fuck!" Luka's voice rang loud and clear, immediately silencing her stepfather.
God, this was a nightmare, Ara fought against the bond but to no avail. She tossed Luka away, she winced as she heard his shocked gasp as he hit the wall opposite of them.
"Good, now shift. I want to see this fucker in pieces."
"No!" But her gasp morphed into a snarl as her body obeyed.
Her mind screamed for Luka to run as if he could somehow hear her thoughts.

  27. God forbid his body actually do as he command; with the combined affects of the Flux and now with a fucking injury in his shoulder, he was basically screwed. It didn't bring him comfort when he reminded himself only another time demon could kill him, it was still going to hurt like a bitch. Especially since he couldn't, no wouldn't, strike back against Ara. Now more than ever he wished he had paid mind to the dwellers of this time plane; but he was foolish like his brethren, taking in only the scenery and material goods and women. He had zero knowledge how to fight against creatures, one of them being what Ara was morphing into now.
Maybe I'll escape to another plane and come back after things have cooled down. But he wasn't one for running and he'd be damned if he started now. He rolled quickly to the side as Ara leapt at him, crashing into the wall and seamlessly regaining her balance. It's the fucking BOND. He shot the father the bird as he cackled at Luka's struggle.
I could go back in time and prevent her from making the bond... He couldn't help but laugh aloud as he thought that. Screw that. I'd rather fuck over that son of a bitch right now. He couldn't tell what would happen to Ara if her poor excuse of a father died, and he wasn't about to stop her for biscuits and tea to ask.
And even though the demon side was slowly winning over, Luka kept it forefront in his mind that he would risk anything for Ara's safety...

  28. Damn it! Ara crashed around the living room, lunging, snapping at Luka. No! Her mind shouted again and again as she came close to snapping her jaws into Luka.
Think Ara think! And as if someone heard her prayer her eyes flickered to the fireplace. Lord behold the damned thing was lit! She had done it earlier to keep Luka warm, but now it could serve her other purpose in mind.
If I feel pain, i will be too preoccupied with it to listen to the bond!
She would heal from the burns, but oh, it will hurt like hell. With a plan in mind Ara maneuvered Luka to it, making sure she calculated every one of his movements so that he would be positioned right where she wanted him. Taking a deep breath, Ara lunged, bracing herself for the searing pain to come, only to feel herself be redirected to the side. Her gaze met Luka's, a dangerous look came about him.
"What. . the. .. fuck" He said as if he guessed what her plan had been.
No... damn it Luka! A soft whimper left her as she felt herself move once more for Luka. Fine, if I can't do that, I might as well knock my self out, at least it would give Luka a chance to run.
With each tackle she increased the force. Her body slammed hard into the walls, the furniture, everything in an attempt to lose consciousness. Quiet whines slipped her as she felt her shoulder dislocate itself from its socket.
"Stop it Ara!" Luka yelled as he evaded her attacks. But she ignored him as she increased her momentum hoping for sweet unconscious bliss to take her.

  29. Fucking chick is out of control! He dodged every attack Ara threw at him, even though he had a hunch her increased strength wasn't aimed to maim him. Luka's eyes would flash to the stepfather's and it was as if the bastard was untouchable. Trying his damnedest to get close to him or throw a stray blow, the man's control over Ara prevented every small chance he got. And Ara's attacks were becoming more erotic as he was sure unconsciousness was starting to consume her. Fuck. No matter how much he despised fleeing, he couldn't keep this up. Not to mention his fucking emotions had to dictate his actions, for he couldn't see Ara torture herself like this. I'll have to do this... at another time.
He called upon his powers within, his body glowing as he began to dissipate. Of course, the smart thing would have been to pin Ara down while he did this because if his concentration was interrupted... Ugh. He never got anything right in this era.
"He's getting away!! Kill him!!" And sure enough, Luka stumbled as Ara's quick movements left him shocked and unguarded. He yelped in pain as Ara stood over him, his neck held firmly in her powerful jaws. Shit... This is gonna hurt like a mother fucker.
The father stepped over snobbishly to Luka, a greasy, almost toothless smile donned on his ugly ass mug. Luka wrinkled his nose as Ara's hot breaths consumed his nostrils. He heard her whine quietly in protest, each cry tearing at his heart. I'll be fine, Ara... I'll be fine.
    "Do it."
A light flashed, a loud crack filled his ears, and then everything went black.

  30. No!! Her mind screamed as she felt Luka's neck snap.
Her father smiled, looking smug and proud. "Good bitch, now throw him out somewhere, I don't want him stinking up the fucking house. And quick, we have unfinished business,"He eyed her and she could tell he was already imagining the act. "and after that you can clean up your fucking mess." He strode off to his room, she was sure it was to shoot up and get as high as possible before she returned.
With a heavy heart she picked Luka up between her jaws, taking extra care not to damage him further. She bound off to her lake, the only place she felt safe, the only place she thought would be even remotely worthy for Luka.
She slowed to a stop as she reached the lakes welcoming waters. She shifted to her human form, tears streamed down her face as she knelt in into the liquid, placing Luka's head on her lap.
"Oh Luka, the only person who ever cared for someone like me. . . and I kill you." She passed a caring hand across his face. Her delicate touch tracing his eyes and lips.
"You never deserved this. . .I shouldn't have. . . I. . ."Sobs racked her body as she mourned his death. Between gasped breaths she whispered, "I loved you. . ." She leaned into him, taking his lips into hers, her mind flickering to the heated moment they had shared earlier.
You were alive just a few moments ago. .

  31. Fingers, toes... Yes, good, good. Still can't move. Damn, there's that shoulder injury... it'll heal soon... ? Is that warmth? What the hell? It's... hard to breathe...
And as the curtain of death dissipated, leaving him once more aware of his body, Luka's eyes flew open as he began to choke beneath warm lips. He heard a startled gasp of a female, but his vision was foggy even in the short amount of time he'd been dead and he couldn't be exactly sure as to who it was. Yet as he caught his breath and his eyesight returned, it could not be debated who his lovely savior was.
"Holy moley," he breathed. Ara remained frozen, her eyes wide in shock. "You're a ginger! I just realized that. Hmm... this isn't awkward. Is it just me or are you sitting at an angle? Oh, no, wait." He turned his head with both hands until his neck cracked. Ara yelped in surprise and fear, her hands flying to her mouth and her eyes still huge. Luka sighed in satisfaction. "Oh, that is much better. Wait, I don't remember dying here. Am I really alive? Ow!" He had pinched his arm, as people do usually to wake from a dream. "I feel alive. 'Course..." His gaze focused entirely on Ara. She hadn't moved an inch. "If I am dead... I must be in heaven." He laughed airily as he smiled up at his lovely, albeit shocked, Ara.

  32. Ara could not contain the shock that took her as Luka smiled up at her. The heck. . . just happened!? She yelped as he moved toward her.
"You can't be I. . . but. . ." She crawled away from him, water splashed all around her as she displaced it.
"Whoa, come down there Ara, I just. . . oh. . . well. . . I suppose it is odd for you . . . and. . . I did. . . ok never mind carry on." Luka had a satisfied grin as she stared at him, still in awe.
"So. . . What was it about me that caused you to suddenly kiss me?" Oh. . . now he was just teasing her.
"Screw you! How are you. . its not. . . but-" in that instant Luka was in front of her, his blue eyes capturing hers. All her words were lost as Luka leaned in, their breaths mingled. Her heart beat accelerated as she felt the light touch of their lips and as if her fucking father knew, he called her. Luka cursed under his breath as she dug into her pocket to draw out her phone. It was now soaked with water, when she opened it it immediately died. She yelped as it short circuited, sending a small shock to her fingertips. His impatient tug on her bond caused her to shutter. She knew what awaited her back "home."
"Don't go." Luka's voice was soft and calming. She wished she didn't have to, for once she was happy. Her place of peace just became a whole lot better with Luka here.
"I have to. . ." Her voice was small, a soft whisper as her heart wrenched with the thought of going back to that hell hole.

    ReplyDelete
  33. He knew the feeling all too well. To be tied to a place less than worthy of the title of home. And though he may exist until the end of time itself, fate could not tell what it had in store for him.
To hell with fate, he thought. He knew where he was supposed to be and it was right here by Ara's side... He had made up his mind when he interfered with Ara's future. Luka would never be able to leave her life, even if he tried. Now... all that was left was to seal the deal.
"Ara," Luka whispered to her urgently, the tone of his voice convincing her to fight the call of the bond to listen to his words. "The illness I succumbed to is called the Flux. It happens whenever I tie myself to events within time. My mark will forever be left in the fabrics of time. I'm tied to you, Ara." He took a trembling hand into his and kissed it lightly. "I will never leave you again," he breathed. A color rose to her cheeks and he could feel through the veins in her wrist her heart accelerate.
It was coming, and it scared the living shit out of him to think he'd be signing his... existence away to a ginger-haired wolf girl. Oh, but she is more than that. Those golden eyes could pierce through souls, her warm decadent lips laid claim to any heart she kissed he was sure, and her skin was so fair and vibrant as it glowed with every quickened beat of her heart. You sure do pick the women, he purred.
And her fucking father just had to ruin the goddamned moment.
"Ara," Luka urged as she continued her struggle. "I'm going to do something... but I want to make sure this is what you want, too."
She stared blankly at him, contemplating his words and wondering what the hell she was agreeing to. She tilted her head to him, egging him to continue.
He took a deep breath. Why was this so nerve wracking? "I'm going to go back in time to where you made the bond with your... father... and have you pledge yourself to me instead."

    ReplyDelete
  34. She gasped at his words. Indecision took hold of Ara, and it only increased the anxiety she felt as her bond demanded she go to her father.
His eyes were true, she could sense the sincerity within them.
"Oh, Luka. . . I..." She knew what she wanted to say and she cursed herself for even thinking it. How do I know you won't treat me the same way? A gasped escaped her lips as the bond became unbearably demanding.
"Ara, i will protect you. I promise no harm will ever come to you again." Tears welled up in her eyes, she could trust him. . . no. . . she would trust him.
"Ok. . ok Luka, but please hur-" Her words were lost as a gun shot resounded in the air. It seemed to happen in slow motion, one moment she was looking at Luka as his face brightened at her consent. . . and the next a small gasp escaped her lips as she fell into the shallow water. Its crystal color turned crimson red with her blood. Her breaths filled with water as she lost the strength to keep her head above its cold grip.
"Ara!" Luka took her into his arms. Her eyes met his frightened gaze. Small crimson droplets of Ara's blood clung to his face and chest.
"You bitch! I told you to kill him, now look what you made me do!" A hideous laugh came from her father as he stood there with a shot gun in his hands. Ara could tell he was completely drugged because she could feel that familiar sense of disorientation that flowed into her whenever he did so.Luka growled menacingly at him, baring his sharp fangs he made to go kill the bastard where he stood.
"N-no Luka" She reached up and with a trembling hand turned his beautiful gaze to hers.
On a shaky breath she whispered softly, "S.. Save me Luka. D..Don't let him get me. I will bond with .. you,Luka." Tears streamed down her face as she looked lovingly into those wonderful blue depths. "Just. . . don't. . let . . him. . ." With a weak gasp Ara's hand fell back to her side. Her limbs began to feel heavy, it became increasing harder to keep awake. All she saw was Luka's pained expression as darkness consumed her vision. Death's firm grip finally dragged her down below.
    Please. . save me Luka. . .

  35. And she was gone. Her lifeless eyes stared blankly into space as the vibrant color began to fade. Her skin was still warm, but the flush of red he had brought to her cheeks ebbed away. The blood from her wound stilled as the heart pumping it came to progressive halt, and she was encircled by a ring of blood on the water's surface. She was dead. His once beautiful, living breathing Ara Akuma now lay frozen, cold, and dead in his arms. With a quivering, disbelieving hand he slowly reached to her face and closed her heavy lids to conceal the worst sign of death. His breath shuttered and nothing felt more empty, more cold than this moment right now. He leaned slowly into her lips, the first place where her warmth was absent. No... Dammit...
Another gunshot fired and Luka yelped as a excruciating pain accompanied with an unbearable ringing in his ears engulfed him. His cradled his head in his hand, blood seeping from his temple and a bullet lodged deep within his skull. Off in the distance, past his pain, the ringing, the mourning, the abominable bastard was laughing. Joyously. Madly.
    SON. OF. A. BITCH.
Softly, with great restraint, he placed Ara's head just above the water's surface on the ground and slowly ascended to his feet. He turned, eyes hardened, towards the fucker and walked onward.
"What the hell?!" He raised the gun and fervently fired the rest of the cases, but the bullets delving deep into Luka's skin did not hinder his approach until he was practically towering over the cowering, feeble human. He made to club Luka with the gun, which spontaneously crumbled to dust just at the intensity of Luka's gaze. The man fell to his knees in fear.
"Please, spare me!" Did this fucker actually BEG for his life? Have the audacity to think Luka would comply?
"Spare you?" growled Luka, his demonic nature awakening from it's deep slumber. His canines exposed, his eyes shifting to blatant yellow, a low malicious laugh escaped Luka's lips. The man cried out in fear as he saw this transition and made to flee. Ah, the game is afoot. Unfortunately... he pointed his palm towards the accursed human, freezing him within his minuscule space of time. The most demonic smile adorned Luka's face as he strutted casually, slowly, to the weakling as he slashed at his body with unseen energy. Blood did not even seep through the wounds as it remained frozen in the veins. Luka stood in front of him, sneering at the monster who hurt his Ara, who fucked his Ara... who KILLED his Ara.
"I don't play games," he grumbled, the demonic air in his voice thickly filtering his words. Snapping his fingers, the man was instantly released from his prison and the first thing he did was cry gloriously in pain as his wounds exploded in floods of blood. He stumbled to the ground and Luka observed with cold eyes as the man crouched on all fours, clenching a wound along his shoulder. What a fucking, boring bastard. Luka threw a forceful kick straight into the man's face. He cried out in pain as a loud crunch indicated his nose broke and he rolled over to the side on the ground. Luka took hold of his arms that tried to cradle his injuries.
"Not gonna allow you that luxury," Luka hissed. Pinning him face flat onto the ground, Luka lowered and whispered menacingly into his ear, "I'll take pleasure in slowly fracturing every bone in your body until they break and lavish as your pathetic screams flow like music to my ears. And when you lie defeated upon the floor, I'll rape your pedophile ass until no one will be able to recognize your mangled form. I'll make you face every horror you put her through and more. And just for you, I'll enjoy watching you squirm as I take extra care in severing your limbs. One. By. One."
And Luka cackled wickedly as the man cried, quite literally cried, in fear and pain.

  36. And as the day turned to evening, with hours upon hours of merciless and seemingly endless torture, and the only sounds that filled Luka's ears were the sweet symphonies of verbal pain and fear, salvation came with the swift breath of death and Luka's deed had been done. Gazing upon the results of his work, the shattered bones veiled in red, the pile of torn and broken limbs ominously still and pale, Luka's came to those of the despicable man whom he had just destroyed. Or, rather, where the man's eyes had once been for they had been gouged out sometime during the process of his bones being fractured. Luka had stayed true to his word, enacting every single threat he had made and more. Somehow he thought he would feel a sense of satisfaction, of the success of sweet revenge pulsing in his veins. That there would be a weight lifted from his chest and the sorrow would die with the wretched human.
But his heart still beat beneath a heavy pressure and the joy and ecstasy he felt in killing Ara's alleger dissipated. No matter how hard he believed the punishment he was instilling would honor her memory, it would never bring her back. She was gone.
A harsh fire and stinging arose in his throat to fight the onslaught of sorrowful tears trying to escape. His mourning enraged his demonic nature; tears were the last thing that would help her. She died in your arms at her lone sanctuary knowing you would go back and save her. I'd say she died a peaceful death.
The truth of those words comforted him only slightly, enough to conceal the deluge of anguish, for it was also true the tears would not make the situation any better. He turned from the bloodied mess he had created and, though he attempted not to be affected by the sight, his heart sank as his eyes fell upon the lifeless Ara who head bobbed just above the cool depths of water of the lake. For a moment, he almost wondered if this was all a lie, that she was really alive and just messing with him. And this course of thinking brought forth the scene leading to her death once more.
"S... Save me, Luka." The blood spilled from her beautiful body, her breath leaving along with her life. Luka stepped forward one step.
"D... Don't let him get me." The waters were tainted crimson, the hand cupping his cheek trembled weakly. He took another step.
"I will bond with... you, Luka." Her eyes flashed grey as death pulled harder, the color of her eyes within every tear she spilt as she gazed lovingly into his own eyes.
    "Just... don't... let... him..."
Luka blinked and he found himself already crouching over Ara, her face the most peaceful he had seen it since being with her. He took a shaky breath and raised her head delicately onto his lap as he leaned to her lips. Memories consumed him at the touch: the scars around his neck pulsed as he remembered how Ara broke the bone, how the warmth had already left her lips the moment of of her death and his head pounded with the bullet still encased in his skull. He hadn't been able to save her, regardless of how much pain he endured for her safety and well-being.
But he could. And he would save her. She wasn't gone. Her life presently forfeit, he still had the chance to go back and rewrite history. He flinched as he also remembered what doing that once before had done, how crippled he became under the influence of the Flux... It didn't matter. Yes, he had sacrificed a lot for his beloved Ara. And he was willing to sacrifice even more.
Parting from her stone cold, motionless lips, he whispered, "I love you." And as though just imparting those words to her lifeless form made all the difference, Luka gently pushed her body into the water's welcoming waves and watched as she sank below the surface.
And so, with dried blood clinging to his face from and his clothes completely drenched in both Ara's and the man's plasma of life, Luka ascended to his feet as a single tear dropped to the water's surface and instantly, he was gone.

  37. "Bitch!" Ara bit her tongue to keep from crying out as her step father struck her. She struggled against the bonds that held her to the walls of the damp basement.
"You will bond with me. . ." He raised his hand once more but Ara did not flinch. The fire of her spirit burned deep within her golden gaze and she did not so much as allow him the pleasure of hearing her voice her pain.
"I will NEVER bond with the likes of you!" It had been only one day into the torture, though it seemed an eternity. The bastard had begun to starve her for a week and when she refused to bond with him he had locked her in the basement. Now he tried to beat her into the commitment, oh but she would die before she would let that happen!
As she stared challengingly at her father she noticed a dangerous look past his eyes as he straightened. A gruesome smile now adorned his face.
"Oh, but you will little. . . Ara" His ugly eyes traveled her body, she shuddered as she realized what he was doing. Her wolf bellowed, demanding to be released in order to rip the threat apart but Ara could not comply. Her father had taken extra care to equip her with a spiked collar, one whom would impale her neck should she turn wolf.
She held her breath as he moved closer to her, his hands already start at the buttons of his shirt. And just when she braced herself for the horrors to come ,the air began to thicken around her. What is this? A sense of dread washed over her as suddenly she heard the most menacing animalistic growl! Her father was suddenly thrown away from her, and she watched in amazement as a man stood over the whimpering man. His blue gaze landed upon hers before he turned and with a quick swipe, snapped her fathers neck.
Ara backed up to the corner, the chains rattling from her sudden movements but she would be damned before she would let this new threat hurt her. She kept a feral gaze on the creature whom she was sure was not human. His movements were slow and calculated as he moved close to her.
"Don't get close to me!" Crouching low to the ground, she prepared herself to fight but to her amazement the man gave a breathy laugh before he drew her into his arms. It was the oddest thing she had ever seen, and she was sure it was her mind playing tricks on her but she could have sworn the man was beginning to sob quietly.
"Ara, God Ara, you're ok, I'm here." Shock took Ara as she heard the man say her name. Did she know him? Surely she didn't, she would have remembered seeing such a gorgeous being before, she was sure.
Try as she might, she could not wiggle out of his hold. . . not that she wanted to frankly.
"What do you want?. . . why. . . who are you?"
The boy drew back, a gentle hand caressed her face and she could see that he was attempting to form his thoughts. She tilted her head to the side as she awaited his response.
Finally he seemed to draw in a deep breath and turn his beautiful eyes to hers. They were completely breath taking, ocean blue and yet as clear as the blue of the sky.
"Ara. . . I want. . . you to, bond with . . me" Instantly Ara hissed at his words. Of course! They always want something, . . always.

  38. "Screw you!" she bellowed, wriggling in his grasp even more. He almost laughed; she said it nearly identical when... His muscles went tense as he froze. Little Ara noticed and paused as well, perhaps wondering if her struggles were finally getting on his nerves. He shook his head. No, don't think about that time... it's gone. Forever. Like the other Ara...
He glanced down, noticing as Ara stared deep within his eyes as if mesmerized. She reached a shackled hand up to his throat as they caressed the bite marks the other Ara had made. God dammit. She's hell bent on making me suffer, I can already tell. He softly grabbed her hand and inched it away. She couldn't have been more than seven, her long flowing red hair encompassing a baby round face. Perhaps it was the fact that he already knew what she'd look like years down the line, but he couldn't help but be equally mesmerized by her beauty. Damn, what am I doing? Guess being a pedophile came with the job description of being a time demon.
"Umm..." He awoke from his trance as Ara jingled her restraints.
"Oh! Right. You don't want those on, I bet." Ara rolled her eyes as he broke them from her person.
"Oh no, I simply love being tied up like an animal."
"I thought sarcasm didn't develop until later."
    "Much like your brain?"
"Oi, watch it, Ginger. I can put them back on, you know."
Her brow furrowed. "What did you call me?"
He paused, a blank expression upon his face. "Nothing."
"I have a name, you know." She surveyed him as she said that, her eyes falling to the somewhat indiscernible bloodstains on his shirt. Now that he thought about it... he probably looked like he just escaped from being mobbed. There was still blood on his face, though he had removed the bullet, and blood from when Ara had stabbed him, though that had healed.
"Ah, yea," he remarked nervously. "I haven't had a chance to properly clean up. Umm... hold on." And he removed his shirt, turning it inside out and wiping away the shadows of the past. He didn't fail to notice, though his eyes were averted from her, that she was especially perusing him with her gaze. It was starting to get weird.
"Okay, umm..." He laid down the shirt and scratched the back of his neck. He heard a faint sigh. He cleared his throat. "An introduction would've made more sense, right? I'm Luka Lanterogue... I... came to save you."
"Hi, Luka," she replied dreamily. He sighed. This was gonna take a while.

    ReplyDelete
  39. He was freaking ripped. . . It was all Ara could do to keep from throwing herself at his magnificently built body. Surely he had to be some demigod... "Would you stop looking at me like that. . its... weird"
"Hmm? Oh! . . .What do you..."She couldn't remember why she had been angry earlier until he knelt in front of her once more and said, "So. . . will you?"
Ara debated. . . if she did give herself to him how did she know he would not use her like her father? Memories of his abuse flashed within her mind and she shivered against the fear that suddenly washed over her.
"Hey," he sat next to her and placed caring hand on her shoulder. "I know what you have been through, I will never hurt you." His gaze was so sincere, so kind. She had to wonder where all this sudden interest came from. No one had ever shown her love before, and to have what seemed like a complete stranger show such an affection towards her brought tears to Ara's eyes. Turning her gaze from his she leaned her self against the corner.
"Whoa, hey. . . Ara, why are you crying?"
"Oh, because I have had such a wonderful day. Honestly! Where the heck do you come from? . . . I suppose what they say is true... you can't have looks and brains."
Instinctively she braced herself for pain. It usually accompanied a smart comment like that one but when it never came, she risked a glance at him.
His lips were slightly parted as he stared at her with an odd expression.
" I should have made him suffer again. Ara," He shifted so that he was facing her. He took her in his embrace once more. "You are strong, fearless, and intelligent. I would never take those things from you. The only reason I want you to bond with me is so that I may keep you safe. I want to protect you, to keep you from harms way. I want you to forever be by my side. . . " She did not respond, he continued, " I swear I won't be like him. I will let you have a life i promise. You.. . you won't even know your bonded. Just. . umm . .yea. ." When she didn't respond he drew her back and she had the biggest grin on her face.
"Ok, I wil bond with you." Ara could not help as she blushed. She bit her lower lip and turned her gaze from his beautiful body and eyes; afraid she might just jump him and never let go.

    ReplyDelete
  40. She took a steady, deep breath. Luka shook slightly. Damn it... her lips are so full and pink... This might be a mistake. Yet, as her vibrant gold eyes pierced him to the core, his heart told him otherwise. This beautiful, wonderful person... would be his. And he would make every effort to protect her, to save her from another terrible death.
"I, Ara Akuma, pledge mine wolf and heart to you. I leave my life, my future, and my loyalty in your hands."
A cold wave of fulfillment overtook him, like nothing in his life before that felt right as it did now. He sighed, a synonymous sigh erupting from Ara's lips as well. Every emotion, every ache, every thought of his Ara was now aware of. There was a subtle, yet prominent feeling of understanding... not that he had ever cared about being misunderstood, but... it was so freeing to know someone would. Now and forever.
Ara giggled but then a curious expression lined her face. "It's so busy in that head of yours. I see vague images... of a lake..."
Luka held his breath, for a moment, enough to draw concern but he proceeded. "Now, Ara... I'm going to recite my side of the bond. One that's been passed down by my people... Will you accept?"
She raised an eyebrow; Right... stupid question, no? He cleared his throat softly and carefully encased her face in his hands. "I, Luka Lanterogue, offer the whole of my existence to one, Ara Akuma. From this day forth, I pledge to serve and protect as you command... until-"
A faint water drop, the sound of distant rumbling, caught Luka's attention. Instinctively, his sights set to those of the near future. The house of the basement they were within was raided. Two individuals. The front door crashed loudly overhead and the individuals entered. Shit. He couldn't foresee their actions long enough to retaliate. Luka returned his focus to Ara, who cowered into his arms. He opened his mouth to comfort her until just then the intruders found their way to the basement.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Fear flowed into Ara as the men burst into the basement. More of her father's men? Maybe they had come to Luka held her protectively in his arms, a low menacing growl warning off the intruders.
"Oh, ho Luka, a wolf? THAT is what you choose? Well fuck, what has the world done with you?" The two men were identical in build as Luka, though their eyes were different. . . they shone a brilliant yellow. They resembled much to those of a cat. Their canines were long and sharp. One had long blonde hair up to his shoulders, the other was bald, though tattoos adorned his head and face.
"Now, we know you wouldn't want anything to happen to the pretty little wolf right?" They began to walk towards them, choosing to take their potions on either side of Luka. She felt him tense as the demon's drew their claws across the wall. The high pitched screech hurt Ara's ears and she buried her face in Luka's neck in an attempt to stop the horrid noise.
"Oh, Luka, don't look at me like that. But its your choice Luka, easy, or hard. Though," The blonde ran his tongue against a clawed finger, "I so look forward for some blood shed." Luka turned his eyes to hers, she saw indecision within their ocean blue depths. Something within him stirred and she wasn't sure what exactly it was.
She hadn't expecting Luka to give in, in fact, she had almost prepared herself for him to attack. When he stood to face them Ara's heart sank. A sense his resolve washed over her. . . he was going to go willingly.
"No!" She tried to get up, her wolf instincts already kicking in to protect him from the new threat but Luka set her down gently . His hand gently caressed her face just before the men took him. She heard a sharp hiss come from him as they dug their nails into his arms. They forced him unto his knees and the air began to thicken. No! Ara lunged forward, her heart racing so fast it seemed that it would tear out of her chest. For a slight moment their gazes met, along with the sorrow she felt from him, his eyes greatly reflected pain. No! But she was too late, in an instant they were gone. She fell hard against the cold ground.
"No!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. How was it possible she let this happen? She could have fought harder, she should have never let him just give up!
