She looked desperately, from left to right. Where is he!? She could feel his fear, she could feel his constant cries for her to save him and yet he was no where to be found!
Then, she felt it. The bitter sweet sting of metal upon skin. She cried out as she felt his wound as if it were her own. Damn it!
She glanced at her phone as it began to ring and answered it hastily.
"Where are you?!" She yelled into the receiver.
"I...m. . .. like. . . 3 blocks away... from... you..." Her golden eyes turned towards the street. There!
She jumped into action, immediately shifting as she ran. She targeted the 4 human drug dealers as they closed in on her step father. With a viscous snarl she attacked, tearing each human apart until there was nothing left. Her fangs dripped with their blood as she finished them off.
"Its. . . about... fucking... time!" Ara whined softly as she shifted back to human.
"I'm sorry I could-"
"Yea yea. .. shut up."
She gasped as she felt him draw upon her wolf to heal himself. The wound would have been fatal to him had it not been for the bond they now shared. It wasn't until she felt light headed that she realized just how deep the wound must have been.
She fell to her hands and knees as she gasped for air.
"Ok. . . ok! I. . . s ... stop!" He merely looked at her, his face twisted with disgust.
"Say it." He spat at her.
"I.. I'm sorry!"
"Good, now hurry up and shift. I want to go home." Ara only nodded as she drew what little power she had left. She shifted, the agony becoming almost unbearable. I remember when shifting to my wolf was liberating. . . when did it become so painful?
